“Love your city. Love your life.” These are the words that came to mind when I began thinking up an appropriate tagline for Bendgirl that sort of encompassed all that I wanted this brand to mean.

It is easy to become bogged down by life, obligations and all the things we think we have to get done. Enjoy more and do less. Now, that’s a concept. Take time to enjoy. Take time to make a living but while you're at it, take time to make a life.

I forget this at times. Busy in my own world of work, I have to stop and ask, am I enjoying this? Bendgirl, a woman who loves her city, and loves her life.

Bendgirl started on a whim. I didn’t have some fancy mission or some tear jerking story that brought about the creation of Bendgirl. My entrepreneur mind, was simply looking for a way to make some extra money, and I thought, what if I made a shirt and sold it, that said, “Bend Girls Do It Better,” which was later shortened to Bendgirl.

My mission has and always will be, no matter what I’m doing, whether that was serving coffee as a barista, running my biz as a fitness trainer to the stars of Bend or selling merchandise inscribed with the word, Bendgirl, is to make someone’s day better.
