Here are some highlights from Grand Opening on Friday, September 12th. Thank you to all of our guests that attended our ribbon cutting ceremony. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents, teachers, students, administrators, and community members who joined us for the grand opening of Marshall Merch! This event marks a significant milestone for our students, who have gained invaluable experience in launching a retail store—from designing and pressing apparel to handling marketing, sales, and customer service.

A special thank you to River City Printing for our fantastic new decals, and to CFSB for their continuous support, generous donation of starting funds, and the quality guest speakers they provide to enrich our classroom learning. We also want to recognize Maloree Darnall, Josie Henson, and Mia Webber for their creative T-shirt designs, as well as Carter Hibbs (who pressed nearly 100 shirts himself) and our other hardworking Apparel Production Specialists (Brody Allen, Brody Hopkins, Carson Fogg, Andrew Littlejohn, Spencer Oglesby, and Talan Rose) for their efforts pressing each apparel item for this grand opening. Additionally, a special thank you to Jennifer Culp and Brooke Gibbs for all their help with the financial aspects to make this project possible for our students. We’re also grateful for our dedicated FBLA President, Shelby Ramage, and the CEO of Marshall Merch, Sydney Ramage, and their mother, Brittany Ramage who volunteered their extra time after school to help make this launch possible.

We’re also thankful to Marshall Media Arts for featuring us on the Morning Marshal, giving us a fantastic platform to advertise to the student body, and to our wonderful custodial team for their efforts in assembling our new store furniture, as well as cleaning and preparing our retail space and classroom to make them presentable for our guests. A big thank you as well to Marshall Cafe for providing delicious cake and punch to help us celebrate this special day!

Lastly, we’d like to thank our administrators (Mrs. Solomon, Mr. Harper, Mr. Merrick, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Beth, and Mr. Hood) for allowing our students to have this unique opportunity.

It truly takes a village and we’re so appreciative of everyone’s support and can’t wait to see how Marshall Merch grows with this incredible foundation!
