Hello everyone.... just a reminder that our Spring sewing classes will continue for another 6 weeks beginning on next Monday at the Berea Makerspace, 116 Spring Cir Dr Suite 3, Berea, KY 40403. We will start at 6:30PM 8:30PM.
For fabric artists please bring: your new pattern, fabric, sewing kits
and machines (if you have one)
For beginning crocheters please bring: a size H hook and a skein
(package) of 4 ply yarn

*** I was just at Hobby Lobby today and THIS WEEK through Saturday, the fabric is on sale at 40% off, so you may want to see if you can find what you're looking for this week. I'm sure Becky has some beautiful cottons and linen blends at Old Towne Fabric too

These are the documents that members must agree to in order to be part of our community. Waivers must be signed by both members and guests before any activity in the space. Members must also sign the Membership Rights and Responsibilities.

Hello and Happy Weekend, everyone.... we are winding down our classes on both Monday and Saturdays with only two more of each to go.... projects are being finished and everyone should be so proud...you've all done a GREAT job at learning the basics. As soon as everyone is finished, we will be doing a nice video to post here to showcase our students' hard work and great efforts. If you normally attend either Monday night or Saturday afternoon, and find that for some reason you can't make your normal class time, please feel free to attend the other class so we can have enough time to finish up our projects. Stay tuned because we are in the process of putting together an extension of this class at the Maker's Space for the first Monday of June through 6 weeks... we will only be accepting students who participated in the first course this Spring. Students will learn more skills, such as buttons and button holes...installing zippers....and minor alterations and furthering their skills in pattern reading. There will also be instruction in basic crocheting if there is enough interest.... please stay tuned!

Happy Friday, everyone, please don't forget to bring your patterns, fabric and sewing kit with you tomorrow....we will be pinning and cutting out our fabric. If you are a member of the Monday night group and have had to miss a session or two, tomorrow from 2-4 would be a great way to catch up and get back on track for Monday night! See you there

Happy Friday, everyone... just a reminder that we will not meet at the school tomorrow... instead, we will meet at Old Town Fabrics at 135 N. Broadway St. at 2PM....be sure to bring your patterns with you so we can get exact yardage if you plan to purchase your fabric there. See you soon

Happy Weekend, everyone... just a reminder that we will be meeting at Old Towne Fabric for our sewing class tomorrow night. The only thing you will need to bring is the pattern that you chose for your main project. We will meet at 6:30PM and it will probably be a brief meeting. Old Towne Fabric is located at 135 Broadway St. in Berea.... see you there!

Just a heads up, I cannot drive on ice and snow so if we DO get this snowy mess on Friday and Saturday, we will postpone class until next Saturday. We will just add another week onto our program. Please stay tuned for more info as the weekend arrives!

Just a reminder for everyone who signed up for the sewing classes... we are meeting tomorrow at 2-4PM at the Berea Community School .... in the Makerspace at the rear of the parking lot near the stadium.... the door just beyond the white tent. Please be sure to bring your sewing kits. I'm so excited...see you there

I just want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came and worked through all those first time anxieties at our sewing class; the room was packed! The next time will be much smoother and before you know it, you will be sewing some summer outfits.... you'll see!
