The original Danu Organic set with a cult following and to be honest at some events once everybody gets a set, actual cult vibes 😅✨ But it’s true. It’s that good. Barcelona Pullover + Hida Mountain Pants forever.

Love this photo of & I. 100% natural fibers are the best performance fabrics when they’re quality! Did you know there’s a big difference in longevity & durability between cheap and expensive organic fabrics? That can also lead you wrong though because sometimes people charge a lot for poor quality clothes! It’s truly tricky.

But Danu Organic is meant to be boldly lived in! Build a house, plant a garden, roll around in the mud with your kids. High quality fabrics are not only more beautiful and special — they’re more durable and for the most part, wash up well 🥰 🧺

I’m () wearing the organic linen Garden Blouse and Hida Mountain Pants dyed with madder root and Charlie’s wearing a bunch of samples I’d love to make one day.

Cozy like a hug 🧶 "This sweater beat all my expections. I expected it to be nice, but it is absolutely beautiful. The minute I put it on it felt like a warm and cozy hug. And I did not want to take it off anymore. I decided to order another one. (-:"

Hello! We've had some interest in interning with us over the summer, so we decided to formalize an internship program. We have three opportunities available. Link in the bio to learn more or "jobs & internships" at the bottom of our website. These are paid internships and could potentially continue after summer if it’s a fit for us both.

Last couple hours of our sale! Thank you so much to everyone for all the support. And I know there’s a lot of you supporting in ways besides orders too 🥰 often because you already own everything 🥰

We are a hilarious $0.43 cents from our funding goal. Maybe an order will come in before 4PM EST or I’ll raid my laundry change. This gets us through all of our current costs and enough money to buy four new, fabulous, lovely, super-special organic fabrics. It takes us through our spring collection launch, which will hopefully generate enough income to sew these four new fabric into garments for our summer collection after the launch of which I think we’ll have our feet under us again and you will love where we are 🏄🏻‍♀️💗

Thanks y’ll. Every order that comes in, I put my hand on my heart and breathe deeply and send some gratitude your way.

I see you buying little things you know you’ll use like tea and tallow balm and elastic and bigger things like that linen shirt you had your eyes on with the intention of supporting our work.

It’s really a surprise for me to find our business cutting it so close. It’s all due to the unsteady fabric supply we thought would be steady. These things happen and in big businesses, they’re barely remarkable but little businesses feel them acutely and it can even be the end of a little business though I’m determined not to let that happen and you seem determined too 💗💗💗

Our sale is on for 48 more hours. Use the code investinorganic for 10% off.

I am still working on a crowdfunding loan option (in which you get all your money back… not a donation) but it’s taking a lot of documentation and going slower than I hoped.

I learned so much of what I know about slow fashion from one of its pioneers, Elizabeth Suzann, who I have had the fortune of hiring as a consultant to myself and Danu Organic.

It was she who explained and openly share on her blog how her garments were priced to be as accessible as possible and how sales were not really a way for her to get ahead in business but rather pulled out as a tool to make ends meet.

With 6 of our 8 fabrics not being available now, and 4 of those, gone for what looks like a long time or maybe sadly forever, I find Danu suddenly stuck between a rock and a hard place. So 10% off isn't much, but it's the most we've offered since last summer and it's enough to keep us still turning a little bit of profit to invest in what is hopefully becomes our new organic fabrics and restarting a design process with them, as well as keeping up with day-to-day expenses of launching our spring collection soon with the odds and ends of fabric we had in stock. We are 48% of the way to our funding goal via this sale.

It's not a very efficient way to run a business, what we're going through now, and it is pretty vital to run an efficient business if you're trying to put people and planet above profit while still turning a profit enough to just exist in this world. So that's our story of the moment. A continuation of all who come before us and together, a plan to move into the future.

Thank you for your support in all the ways! Orders, likes, reviews, shares, photos! Thank you ❤️☁️☮️

The original balm. Pure, unscented, and made from the rendered fat of California pasture-raised cows, this tallow balm readily absorbs into the skin and is the simplest way to rehydrate one's body from the outside in.

My philosophy for everything is to start with the most pared down iteration possible, then listen, and layer up from there. This definitely applies to my skincare routine which is grounded in the seasons.

Before trying Megan's tallow, I thought it would be just a winter thing but I found my skin LOVED it in the summer as a one-step skincare practice. In the winter when my skin needs more TLC, this is my top layer, sealing in a soothing hydrosol and luxe, homemade calendula-infused jojoba oil.

I’ve paused marketing our sale in order to personally () process the absolute violence unfolding in Ukraine and support peace in all ways that I can. Selling clothes, heck even staying in business, really fades in importance in the face of such events. I ask that you please do what you can to contribute to peace this week. ☮️ Feel your feelings all the way so they pass through you and don’t lodge inside. Call your government representatives and demand support for peace. Donate to Ukrainians and organizations doing humanitarian work. Take care of yourself and loved ones and create more peace and less power locally.

Rather unimportant though strangely I guess the work of Danu Organic shall continue…. Our sale will be extended through next Monday, March 7th to make space for you and I to process and support peace in Ukraine and the world which is my number one priority.

Did you know cotton grows in COLOR?

I was attending a local fibershed event when I met Sally Fox. This changed everything.

Sally had spent the majority of her life breeding cotton that naturally grows in color. Camel brown, sage green and salmon pink are just a few of the colors that are possible. This blew my mind and really got me thinking.

How is it that a shirt can be called organic when it is dyed in a vat of toxic chemicals that are unsafe to touch? Weird.

I followed my intuition and immediately committed to buying $10,000 of fabric. It’s arrived.
