Thank you for all the prayers and support. I have had many inquiries on arrangements. My mother will be laid to rest in the memorial garden at Roseland Park Cemetery, at a later date. Going to wait until spring when gardens begin to bloom, moms favorite time of the year.

Dorothy Louise "Dottie" Popp, a woman whose laughter was as infectious as her designs were glamorous, has taken her final bow on the stage of life. On December 29, 2025, Dottie, born in Duluth Minnesota, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of joy, creativity, and the occasional stubborn thread that refused to be stitched into place.
Born on February 24, 1946, to the Reverend Clarence William Maddock and Dorothy T. Maddock, Dottie was destined to breathe life into the world in more ways than one. Her journey from the NICU wards of Sinai, where she worked tirelessly as a Respiratory Therapist for the tiniest of patients, to the runways of her own Peggendott Design Studio in Berkley, was nothing short of remarkable. Dottieβs hands, which once ensured the breaths of premature babies, later crafted the dreams of countless women into special occasion wear that made them feel like the belles of every ball.
Dottie's sense of humor was as finely tailored as her gowns. She often joked that her creations were more punctual than she was, always ready for the big day, even if she was still searching for her misplaced scissors. Her laughter and genuine demeanor filled the studio, making every fitting feel like a private comedy show. Her clients knew that an appointment with Dottie meant leaving with a perfect dress and sometimes abs aching from laughter.
Survived by her sister, Margaret A. Krug, Dottie's spirit lives on through her children, Terrence S. Popp and Kimberlee(and husband Ronald) Arnoldi, and her adoring grandchildren, Autumn Popp, Alexa Popp, Joseph (and wife Kylie), Nathan (and wife Cameron), Nolan Carlson, and Olivia (and husband Matthew) Stewart. Each of them carries a pie
