Happy 2026 to everyone! An absolutely phenomenal craft fair season has come to a close for me with the end of 2025. I would like to thank each and every customer/friend who came and visited my booth at any of the various fairs. I have been doing this for over 20 years now; it is the first time I am left with so little inventory. I am almost starting from scratch for the year ahead!! All good, as sewing is such a huge part of my life. Any ideas, suggestions or requests are always welcome!! Additionally, if you are local to the Berlin CT area, you can check out the space I share with my daughter-in-law at The Berlin Kiosk on Mill street (Rte. 372 in Berlin). I am happy and excited to be returning to this fantastic craft fair on Saturday. With the exception of 2024, I have been a regular vendor at this event since 2009!! So many great booths to visit and shop at. If you are able, it is well worth the rural ride to reach there!!

We're just two days away! Get those shopping lists ready and shop local this year.

It has been a busy couple of weeks in an effort to prepare for the final 3 fairs for this season. This Saturday, November 22, the Lucy Welles Robbin’s library in Newington will be holding a holiday craft fair in the children’s section. November 29, back to the Aqua Turf and finally ending on December 6 at Haddam-Killingworth Middle School. More info to come!!

Off to a great start at the Cromwell Women’s Craft Fair, here at Cromwell High School! Nice crowd, the sun is out and a variety of vendors to check out. Up and running to 3p today!

Busy month ahead!!! Tomorrow is the first of 5 craft fairs into December. The Connecticut Junior Women’s is holding their 3rd annual holiday craft fairs into at the High Plains Community Center at 525 Orange Center Road in Orange from 9a-3p. I will be there with the items pictured as well as many other products. A great smaller fair with a variety of vendors and food trucks in the front parking area for most of the day. Stay tuned for the much larger Cromwell Middle School fair being held next weekend!! Items are packed and ready to go, all priced as well. If interested in anything, message me and I can provide details!!

Craft season is about to get busy!! Just a few short weeks until I return to the Apple Festival, being held one again on the Monroe Town Green, sponsored by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Festival dates are Saturday and Sunday, September 6 and 7. Food booths, entertainment, rows of crafting vendors, and the best Apple Crisp I’ve ever had. Let’s hope it is a great weather weekend!! A new venture for me with ‘Country Cottage Creations’! My daughter-in-law and I have decided to share a space at the newly opened business, ‘Berlin Kiosks,’ here in town. This is located at 146 Mill Street in Berlin, not far from Route 9 and the Berlin Turnpike. If you are local, and love different crafts, this place has them all! A wide variety of so many different items to look at or purchase. I have brought a limited selection from past projects, while Stephanie launches her own creations under ‘Once Upon a Pinecone.’ A few are pictured, but should really be seen in person. Open 7 days, a great destination to enjoy!

Just in!!! The Portland River Park craft fair is rescheduled for Sunday, June 1. Rain is predicted for a good part of Saturday, so the rain date is now officially in effect. Good news for all of us!!
