A trick for the crab stitch 😊

It's called "crab" because you work backwards, the opposite way you normally crochet, but instead of reverse we will be going forward.

How to do the crab stitch / forward single crochet:
Setup: You need a row or round of stitches already done. Crab stitch is usually used as an edging. Don't turn your work.
Step by step:
1. Single crochet setup: With your hook, insert it into the stitch where you normally would go to add your border.
2. Yarn over, insert, yarn over and pull up a loop.
You'll have 2 loops on your hook now. This part can feel awkward. Twist the 2 loops around 1 time then pull yarn through and complete the single crochet.

That's it — you just did your 1st reverse single crochet forward. 🙂🧶🧶
