▶️ If you are a radio back customer, please consider ordering ahead as we will not be taking orders during the months of February and March. The final day to order is January 29th, 2026. We will begin taking orders again on April 1st, 2026.

▶️ If you are a customer looking for repair and refinishing. Please hold all shipments until April 1st, 2026 as we will not be here to receive them.

Another Vintage Beauty, Fully Restored!!!

Just finished bringing this 1963 Motorola stereo console back to life this afternoon, and it’s an absolute stunner. This classic console features AM, FM, Stereo record player and AUX input. But the best part is Motorola put in a spring reverb “Vibrasonic” unit that delivers that unmistakable kind of warm, spacious sound you just can’t fake with modern gear.
The entire cabinet was stripped down, every screw nut and bolt removed and professionally refinished, restoring the rich wood tones and mid-century character that made these consoles the centerpiece of the living room. To finish it off, the speaker grills were fitted with brand-new grill cloth, giving it a clean, period-correct look that really sets it off.

On the inside, it’s more than just good looks:
✔️ Radio fully serviced
✔️ Amplifier rebuilt and tested
✔️ Record player cleaned, adjusted, and ready to spin

Everything is dialed in and performing exactly as it should smooth, warm, and powerful. This console isn’t just preserved, it’s ready for another 60 years of music.

🎄 Holiday Hours Update 🎄

Pioneer Turntable Repair Update!

Had a customer come in with a classic Pioneer PL-71 deck whose tonearm rest clip had completely snapped off. Without that little clip, the tonearm can wander during transport or even bounce off the rest, not good for your stylus or your records!

These older models often have small parts that are long out of production… but that’s where a bit of modern magic comes in. I 3D-printed a brand-new replacement clip, matched to the original dimensions and tension, and the fit is perfect. Tonearm is now secure and the table is back to performing the way it should.

Up on the bench in the shop today…

1960’s Sears/Silvertone Stereo…. wrapping up just in time for Christmas!

This time, a full radio and record player repair with a gentler touch to the cosmetics.
Before installing the new grill cloth, we spent some time with the cabinet itself. Up close, you could really see every nick, scratch, and scuff this old stereo collected over the years. Without getting too crazy, we gave it some simple touch-ups, careful blending, and a little patience to bring the finish back to life without erasing its age or character.
It’s the kind of detail work no one really notices unless it “isn’t” done, but it makes all the difference when the final pieces come together.
Next step, fit the new grill cloth panels and this beauty is really starting to look great again.
When it’s all buttoned up she’ll be ready to spin the Christmas vinyl.

Time to move Parker.

We have some exciting (and bittersweet) news to share! Our son Parker, who has been an important part of our family business restoring vintage radios, is moving to Georgia to begin a new chapter and pursue his dreams. We’re so proud of his hard work and everything he’s contributed to the shop over the years.

To help him move this weekend, we’ll be closing today at 3:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our family and our business.

🛠️ Technics Turntable Thursday 🛠️

Just finished servicing a pair of Technics decks that both suffered from dried-out grease on the tonearm height adjusters — a common issue on older SL-series models. The height adjusting rings were frozen solid and unable to turn.

There's only one cure to repair that and its not for the faint of heart!

Disassembled the entire tonearm assembly, apply some gentle heat to loosen the rings, into the heated ultrasonic bath to remove the old hardened grease, and re-lubed with fresh grease where appropriate. While inside, checked the tonearm bearings for proper free play.

After reassembly and calibration, both arms now move smoothly and consistently through their full range — no binding, no lag, perfect cue control. And you can now adjust the tone arm height through its full range smooth as butter.

Always satisfying to restore these classics to proper working order. These decks were built to last — they just need a bit of maintenance love every few decades. 💪🎶

Finished up another Grundig console.
This is a model 7050 with a record player.

Not only do these console radios look nice but they sound pretty good as well, they have that classic warm vintage tube sound digital just can not duplicate!

We have 2 units up on 1 bench getting overhauled and ready to spin vinyl again for another 50+ years.
