Founded by two multiracial brothers who have always taken pride in their against-the-grain attitude, and thier ability to recreate styles and trends to their own liking. In 2007, both unhappy with their current career, they decided to start a clothing brand to combat the stale state of streetwear. When it came to choosing a name, they took inspiration from thier father, who had just successfully grown a slew of banana trees, one of which actually produced bananas! For the climate in Indiana, this is unheard of, as is starting a clothing company in a small community like Bloomington. The name, Green Bananas, also represents the mentality of these two brothers who insist on being "fresher than the rest".So when brands or individuals brag about being "fresh" just remember, Green Bananas is Fresher!
