I’ve spent thirty years refusing to pick a lane. Help me make that the winning move.
What if an artist who refuses to be a factory could win $25,000 purely on the strength of the integrity of her work?
I’m in third place in a contest some of my own artist friends have called a scam. “It doesn’t look good,” they say. And maybe they’re right about the contest. But $25,000 for works — some of which took years to perfect — would mean I get to keep moving in every direction my practice wants to go, instead of narrowing myself into a product that fits a tidy box. That’s not how every artist works. It’s not how I work.
So yes, I’m in it. Eyes open.
I haven’t spent a single dollar to get here. Some generous souls have donated without being asked — and I’m genuinely moved — but all I’m asking of you is a vote.
Because a vote cannot be bought, and I want to find out if honest networking and thirty years of real work can still move a needle.
I live and breathe art. Click the link and be part of the experiment.
