I don’t even know where to start. How could I have possibly guessed 11 years ago when we moved to Texas that I would be doing this? How could I have known that my love for making things would lead me down a path that would result in a little shop, in a little town? Well, here we are! This coming Saturday, November 22nd is the Grand Opening of The Sharing Kind, a boutique for tweens. I might know a thing or two about tweens, having a daughter of my own, and many granddaughters, four of which are currently tweens (and they are happy to offer advice on what tweens girls want to wear!).

I’ve been asked, “Why is your shop called The Sharing Kind?” The name The Sharing Kind was inspired by a simple belief: kindness is meant to be shared. I wanted my shop to reflect the idea that being kind isn’t just something we do once in a while — it’s a way of living. And every small act of generosity or encouragement can have such a positive influence on others. My slogan, “Share kindness every day,” is a reminder that kindness grows when we pass it on. The Sharing Kind is more than a name — it’s a message, and a mindset to make kindness part of everyday life.

Well, that was a very long intro to announce the grand opening this Saturday of The Sharing Kind - a boutique for tweens.
