♡♡♡COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT ♡♡♡

Today marked the final day of business for Baked & Lavish LLC. , a beloved boutique here in Boundary County, as the owners step into new adventures. What followed has been nothing short of an incredible blessing—and a story we are honored to share.

FOUNDATIONS SCHOOL has been chosen as the beneficiary of Baked & Lavish's remaining inventory. Their generosity has directly sparked the beginning of something we have been praying and dreaming about for some time.

Through this gift, Idaho Mercantile & 9Beans Coffee Co. was born.

This new shop will serve two important purposes.

First, it will provide a new way to raise funds in support of Foundations School. Idaho Mercantile will feature Idaho-made products alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of items from across the country. By June, 9Beans Coffee Co. will be up and running, offering breakfast, lunch, and drinks in a comfortable, dine-in space with free WiFi and outdoor seating for beautiful weather days.

Second—and just as important—this shop will serve as a hands-on, trade-focused entrepreneurship opportunity for our students.

Our junior and senior students have already been deeply involved in the beginnings of this business. They have learned how to register a business with the State of Idaho, file for an EIN with the IRS, open a checking account, navigate requirements with the Idaho State Tax Commission, and much more. They will continue to be involved with inventory, setup, and daily operations. By summer, there will be job opportunities as well.

Through this experience, students are learning the full scope of business—from paperwork and management to inventory, curation, hospitality, and customer service. We are incredibly excited to offer this as an expansion of our program.

Without the generosity of Baked and Lavish, this part of our vision would not have become reality until next year. Their kindness has made growth possible now, and we are deeply grateful. We look forward to continuing a relationship with them and celebrating what comes next.

Big things are happening at Foundations School.
