End of Summer | Poppies Family Edit
Summer 2026 always seemed so far away in the distance. It was meant to be the summer our oldest daughter would head off to college, starting to chase and shape her dream life.
This has been *that* summer—filled with all the feels of grad parties, last hurrahs, and endless “to-do” list and “get-this” lists. Yet sprinkled throughout were savored family dinners, sunset beach nights, and the authentic excitement for all the friends setting off to chase their dreams. As we near the end of the season and college drop-off, I wanted one lasting getaway to round out life as we’ve known it. We escaped to the hot, humid, and darling city of Charleston, SC, and I will forever cherish those few days of wandering, laughing, talking, and just being with my party of four. 💕
As we all know, all we have is today. This summer of 2026 was a season I dreamed of seeing back when my cancer diagnosis arrived in 2013. We made it!
So cheers to every one of you dreaming of your milestone to reach: you’ve got this, one colorful step at a time. 🩷
