This message truly made our day. 🥰

A 4-year-old reading the kid parts while her mom reads the parent parts… memorizing the story… and then using it to understand workdays, late nights, and morning goodbyes—that’s incredibly special.

This is why we do what we do. Not just to tell a story, but to help families have these small but meaningful conversations in real life.

Thank you for letting us be part of yours. 💛

He used to wave goodbye at the daycare door as if it were the end of the world.

(To be fair, so did I — just privately, in my car, after every drop-off.)

This month, that same little boy is graduating from elementary school.

My firstborn — the one who introduced me to a level of mom guilt and separation anxiety I never knew existed, and ultimately inspired me to create Goes to Work.

If you’re the parent navigating those hard drop-offs right now — the ones where they cling to your leg and you somehow hold it together until you make it back to the car — here’s what I want you to know:

They’re okay.
You’re doing better than you think.

And one day, the goodbye gets a whole lot bigger.

Blink, and you’ll be standing here too. ❤️

Funny how some of the best opportunities start with the person sitting next to you. ☺️

At the Working Mothers Summit hosted by the Boston Globe Events , I struck up a conversation with the woman beside me-who turned out to lead Room to Grow . Even better? Her family has a copy of Mommy Goes to Work®!

Today I visited Lauren Rogers Nowlan and learned more about their incredible work supporting families with babies born into low-income circumstances. We brainstormed a few ideas and left excited about what might be possible together.

In the age of Al, there’s still something magical about simply talking to the human next to you.

Al doesn’t sit in the seat next to you.
Some of the most meaningful opportunities in life still begin with: “Hi, nice to meet you.” 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

The Boston had the pleasure of hosting who leads the Families ERG at LinkedIn, to share her personal caregiving journey and a powerful insight:

Caregiving changes us. It makes us different people — and that’s exactly the point.

Alli and I actually met right here on LinkedIn. We first connected through messages and a Zoom call. She shared her article with me, I sent her a gift copy of Mommy Goes to Work, and a friendship grew from there.

Since then, we’ve started exploring how we can support one another’s work and, more importantly, how we can better support working parents and their families.

This is just the beginning. ❤️

Grateful for the connections, conversations, and community.

Every morning feels like a small production: keys, phone, bags, snacks, and a very serious negotiation about which toys are ‘absolutely necessary’ for the day. It’s a little chaotic, a little repetitive, but also kind of sweet—it’s our rhythm, and we make it work.

How many toys is officially too many? Asking for a friend 🤭

Before the final touches and the magic of a finished book, this story was shaped by a community of caring hearts.

Every page you read carries the fingerprints of real families - parents, children, and teachers who gave their time, their honesty, and their love to make this story the best it could be.

We tested with 100+ people to help shape Mommy Goes to Work, and now we’re putting Daddy Goes to Work through that same thoughtful, rigorous process.

Because the best stories aren’t just written. They’re lived, shared, and shaped by the people they’re meant to serve.

This is one of those stories. And you helped make it. 💛

Some moments at work feel like wins, and some moments at home feel like losses. Both can be true. Take a deep breath — you’re doing your best, and that matters. 💛

If this resonates, hold it close or share it with a parent who might need this reminder today. 🌼
