If you wanna learn how to do tapestry weaving, we have the perfect class for you. Sign up for our two-Session Sunday Tapestry Workshop held on July 12th-19th at 2pm-6pm. Plus you can make some tea in our studio's kitchen!
Join Sam Fields for a two-session tapestry weaving workshop where participants will learn to create a small woven image of their choice using a frame loom. Over the course of two Sundays, you'll plan your cartoon (weaving design), explore color and composition, and learn foundational tapestry techniques such as weaving shapes, building forms, and creating expressive texture.
All frame looms will be provided, along with guidance on how to build your own at home. You'll leave with a completed tapestry-or one well underway-and the confidence to continue weaving independently. No experience is required; this workshop is designed for absolute beginners as well as those looking to deepen their weaving practice in a supportive, hands-on environment.

It's your last chance to sign up for the Summer Cohort at Cloth Collaborative!
More info✨⬇️
This Fibers Cohort will be led by Sam Fields, the cohort is designed for artists/crafts people interested in incorporating textile-based processes into their practice and or developing the skills they already have. Demonstrations, artist presentations, and critique will be structured around the needs and interests of each participant. Over the course of three months we will create a space of communal learning and sharing with the goal of deepening skills, concepts, and community. Participants will have access to frame looms, backstrap looms, a shared table loom, knitting machines, sewing machines and sergers, hot and cold water dye equipment, wet and dry felting equipment, hand equipment for knitting, crocheting, and embroidery along with some supplies. The studio will be open for studio time from 6-9pm on the Tuesdays we are not meeting. We are limited to a cohort of six participants.

Dates: June 2nd, June 16th, June 30th, July 14th, July 21st, August 5th

Are you a fiber artist interested in learning more about wool, yarn, fleece, sheep, & beyond? We have the perfect workshop for you! Sign up using the link in our bio for this three session workshop!
More details✨⬇️
Join us on three Sundays for a multi-week long intensive wool processing workshop! You will learn how to process raw fleece straight off the sheep, spin, dye, and felt it however you please. By the end of this course learners will be able to take home their very own ball of dyed yarn or wool object, from fleece to finished product.

We will first learn how to clean wool, ready it for dyeing, dyeing, carding, spinning yarn by hand, and felting if so desired. Students will have a chance to spin on spinning wheels and drop spindles. All materials are included in the price of the workshop, but feel free to bring any spindles and hand carders you may have. This workshop will be taught by Soph Paris and Charlie Malley .

Sessions will run from 2-6pm on Sundays 7/26-8/9.
Day 1: July 26th, Wool Processing
Day 2: August 2nd, Dyeing, Spinning, and Felting
Day 3: August 9th, Spinning, Plying, and Felting
