Michael, thank you for impacting the trajectory of my development by showing me some of your ninja, breathing techniques. I appreciate you exponentially. 🙏🏽🥇

My entire life I have been breathing backwards and inverted. That’s a lot of incorrect breathing.
From a very young age we are told to suck in our gut and pick up our chest.
No wonder we are programmed to breathe predominantly via the use of our upper chest. That ain’t it. At least it isn’t now.
2 weeks ago I swam across a lake relying on my deep, belly breaths. When my muscles were smoked from the fatigue, the only thing left to do was flip over and breathe deep.
Where I would usually start to feel a sense of unknown panic, I felt at ease. I felt free. Have you ever felt free in moments when/ where you felt trapped?
Staring at the sky above me, I felt I was hallucinating and was having an out-of-body experience. It felt like it wasn’t me. I was right. It wasn’t the former me that was in the middle of that lake. He stayed on shore. This new me had one agenda, to breathe through the discomfort of the unknown. I love the unknown. It’s so exciting.
Once I was calm again, I continued on to shore. 🥇
So, Ill say it again. Breathe my Ninja!

Happy Sunday my Ninja.

Meet Sigh the Magician.

It’s just like Equal Breathing. It just happens instantly without conscious thought.
So, you are already a master at it, however, don’t let me speak for you. Make your own experience.

Try these Sighs below:

1-2 seconds- Regular
3-5 seconds- Med
6+ Seconds- Long

After you have done these for about 3 minutes, check in? What’s up?
Sit in quiet and listen for the answer. Or, go for a run and listen for the answer sans headphones.

What if…?

What if you can’t leave work? Does that mean you put your breath on hold for another moment? “ I’ll do it later.”

What if you can’t wait till later to have that tough conversation because “later” means that another person’s heart has to sit with discomfort till YOU feel better?

What if you are at a verge of having a breakthrough and stopping could mean a decline in momentum further pushing you away from your goal?

What if a major contributor to your stress is actually that thing that you love, that you are committed to?

What if you and that other entity mutually agree that you are great for each other, both want to see it through , yet the absense of that mental and emotional regulation necessary to experience a paradigm shift is holding you back? “ Nah, maybe that’s not for me.”

If we can’t control the world around us, what if we could use BOX BREATHING to support us managing the stressors in our lives?

What if I could breath right now while I am doing that thing and receive its best possible outcome?

BOX BREATHING
Let’s begin.

Be right where you are ( at work) think to yourself that you want to relax and are open to this potential
mental and emotional clarity.

Tell yourself that you are open to whatever You and Box Breathing decide upon once you have completed this short exercise.

Exhale gently to begin the process.
Now begin.

Inhale for 4 seconds.
Keep it there for 4 seconds.
Then exhale slowly for 4 seconds.
Lastly, keep it empty for 4 seconds.

Do this for long as you need to and be open to the next unknown results. Magic can happen. And magic can happen for you too.

A quick breathing exercise to de-stress and add mental clarity.

A 1:2 Ratio with the goal of keeping your breath in for twice as long as the inhale before you exhale it out.

1- Exhale gently to begin then inhale for 5 seconds.

2- Hold it for 10 seconds.
Exhale gently.

Do it again for a total of 5 times.
