Receiving this honor from the feels like a quiet, logical return to where it all began… at home!

To be invited to present Indian heritage art at a celebration of “Unity in Diversity” affirmed a belief that has always guided our work, that identity is not something we leave behind as we grow, but something we carry forward, reshape, and express in new ways.

The 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Governor’s Arts & Heritage Awards was a reminder of the richness of the land we live on and the depth of creativity it continues to inspire. The evening reflected a spirit of welcome, honoring artists from diverse backgrounds whose work shapes and strengthens our cultural landscape.

As a past recipient of the Governor’s Award, being invited back to share my story was a moment of immense pride and gratitude. It certainly reaffirmed the enduring impact of arts advocacy and storytelling.

Big Thank you to for creating this lovely celebration of creativity, community, and the human spirit, to my good friend for being delightfully generous with words while introducing me and to the MC of the evening, Antonio Gomez who was as wonderful as ever on the stage.

This was way more than just a fancy event: it was a live statement on the power of the arts and community with a promise of its continued growth.

FREE YOGA SESSION over Mid-Winter Break

Deepti Designs is collaborating with the Bothell-based yoga studio to offer a free yoga session for families during the upcoming school break.

The session will include gentle, all-ages yoga poses focused on overall well-being, along with special guidance on ERGONOMICALLY POSTURES and simple stretches to ease the strain of long hours spent hunched over tables.

So incredibly proud of our Speaktank / Creative Voices students who made it through the auditions of the coveted International Children’s Friendship Festival held at Seattle Center!

This milestone reflects their confidence, clarity, stage presence, and the courage to express themselves authentically. Through our classes, students build strong communication skills, master voice and body language, overcome stage fear, and learn how to connect with any audience... skills that serve them far beyond the stage.

As we look back at the journey we’ve just lived in 2025, we are filled with gratitude and quiet awe. This year was built on the belief in tradition, in community, and in the timeless power of art to heal and inspire.
