Like many sewists, I've been making face masks. Since elastic has been in short supply, I've been using fabric binding. This method can require a lot of pressing. I accidently found a video that shows how to use a card stock guide to eliminate the pressing.

Instructions are given in the photos below.

A dear friend asked for my help in making "fidget quilts" for her daughter-in-law's special ed class. We made 12 and took them to the school last Tuesday. This was a fun project which can be customized for use with children and older adults (especially dementia patients). Lots of basketball and baseball games in June and July but things are buzzing now at Q Studio. This quilt is one that I pieced while my quilting machine was down and I actually got it quilted when learning to use the new robotic system. It will be ready when baseball season starts again next March!
