Next Stitch Alterations is locally owned and operated by Bowling Green native, Ally Dilliha. Next Stitch Alterations is a specialty alterations shop providing professional stitching on Bridal, Prom, and Pageant wear. For other alterations such as pant hems, repairs, and odd jobs please visit our sister company, SOKY Stitches. Sewing in general is sadly becoming a "lost art" as many say, and provid

ing a niche market of sewing is even rarer. Ally the owner and stitcher has 25 years of sewing experience, a college degree in theatrical costuming, and numerous professional credits. Just to name a few, Ally has worked professionally at Universal Studios Orlando, Houston Ballet, David's Bridal, and countless Broadway Tour shows. We are excited to announce that we have moved into our new location. We remain by appointment only. The new space is 100% ADA compliant, from parking to an ADA fitting area to an ADA bathroom, Next Stitch is proud to be able to accommodate everyone!

Business practice update:

Due to the overwhelming number of no call no show appointments and last minute cancellations lately, we will be requiring a deposit in order to book an appointment.

We have always been lenient when it comes to scheduling, because we know life happens. But unfortunately, too many clients have taken advantage of that and not paid the cancellation fee when giving very little or no notice of missing their appointment. Each time this happens, we are missing out on income as we only make money if we have dresses to sew. We have had 10 in May alone, either cancel without 48 hour notice or even 12 hour notice and not pay the cancellation fee. We truly do appreciate those who have paid the cancellation fee for our time.

Going forward a deposit payment link will be sent when an appointment is set. The deposit amount will go towards your final invoice due at dress pick up. If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours of setting an appointment, that appointment will be canceled. This allows our availability to go to clients who will show up to their appointment.

UPDATE: WOW! Didn’t think I’d get so much interest so quickly! For now I will be reviewing the current applicants I have and if needed will open it back up! Thanks so much!

I am considering hiring a part-time assistant.

The ideal person would help with scheduling, pick ups, inventory and marketing-social media. Could be a hybrid position both remote and in office based on availability and our client schedule. Some basic sewing may be taught down the road, but not a requirement.

A background in bridal, fashion or pageants a plus! Still working out the details, but would like to see if there is interest. Perfect for a college student, recent grad or someone needing extra hours.

Wedding Date Availability:

We will not be taking any Brides with wedding dates prior to June 6th as of today.

We hate turning clients away, but once we hit capacity, we have to say no. This ensures our quality and promised pick up dates remain consistent! Thank you for keeping us so busy!!!
