At Patriotic Shield, we’re patriots, a USMC veteran, and police officers with a simple operational plan – to provide more support on our home front to our law enforcement officers and military personnel who served in the past, present, and future. We are tired of sitting back watching our once Patriotic Country fall. We will NO LONGER accept this below the standard of treatment. It has become our
goal to start a foundation to provide counseling services, scholarships, funding in-service training, and provide our fallen families with support. We need to bring PATRIOTISM back, but we can’t do this alone. A police officer has many talents – they must be a social worker, a minister, a tough guy or girl, be professional when they aren’t treated very well, and, sometimes, they make the ultimate sacrifice – they give us their lives. Why do our men and women do it? I’d imagine it isn’t for the pay, working on holidays, and missing those family events. These men and women who walk the thin blue line realize they could face a life-threatening situation at any moment with little or no warning. Ask a law enforcement officer why they do what they do and you will hear different responses from, “to serve and protect,” or “make a difference,” and “its my life dedication to help.”
We are very lucky they work on our behalf. What’s said is society forgets that…
Over the past few years, it has become socially acceptable to blame law enforcement officers. The breaking point for society was during the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO. The outcome of this, “hands up don’t shoot” was a fabricated lie. To make matters worst, the government has provided such statements as, “Any officer who makes a bad decision must suffer the consequences, just like all citizens do”. Although all law enforcement officer deaths are tragic, the brutal death of Texas Sheriff, Darren Goforth was the turning point. It’s time to wake up, take back accountability, and no longer tolerate the blatant disrespect for our LAW ENFORCEMENT officers. We need to stand, unite, and not allow our officers to be puppets. This site is dedicated to our police officers that keep the citizens safe in this country.
