“This was Snapchat when I was young.”

No phones. No filters. No notifications.
Just me, my cousins, and my grandpaw sitting around snapping snap beans fresh from the garden.

We’d gather around a big bowl and listen for hours while he told stories about the old days — stories we’ve heard a hundred times but never got tired of hearing. The sound of beans popping, everybody laughing, and memories being made without even realizing it.

Those simple evenings turned into the moments we cherish the most.
Different times… but the very best kind. ❤️🌱

Before highways and supermarkets… before chain stores and shopping centers… small town general stores were the heart of America. 🇺🇸

Folks gathered together after long days in the fields, stories were shared over cold Coca-Colas, and communities stood united through war, hardship, and celebration. Memorial Day has long been a day for Americans to pause and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country and the freedoms we enjoy today.

Here at The Postmaster’s General Store, we believe in keeping that small-town American spirit alive.

Today we honor the heroes who never made it home. May their sacrifice never be forgotten.

We are OPEN today from 10-6.
