Well this happened last night!! Another HUGE Milestone for me and my middle child Garrett!🎓 Parenting is SO HARD but I do believe the hardest part for me is letting go!😢 I’m thankful and so very proud!! It’s true what they say you know…time really does FLY & I mean SUPER FAST!!
So I encourage all of you mamas to soak it all in and enjoy every moment, even the hard ones because they are also important building blocks to your child becoming who God created and desires them to be. Let them fall at times without picking them up or immediately running to their rescue no matter how difficult that may be and trust me it’s the WORST! Praise them every opportunity you get!! Encourage them!! Push them but not too much!! Forgive them ALWAYS! Remember you were once a teenager and you weren’t perfect but learned and eventually grew up - They are STILL LEARNING & GROWING UP so offer Grace often!! Support them - Show Up to whatever it is they are participating in - Be Present!! Fight for them!! Don’t defend them when they are in the wrong and be ok knowing they are NOT perfect and gonna mess up from time to time!! Hold them accountable! Discipline them! Make them get a job bc it helps teach responsibility! Don’t Spoil them and know it’s ok for them NOT to have what everyone else has or the best of the best…those are material things that fade away! Say I’m Sorry when necessary!! Make sure they KNOW Jesus and walk closely with Him (they learn this the most from watching us)!! PRAY for them without ceasing!!! I could say so much more from all I’ve learned over the years and still continuing to learn but I will end with this one…LOVE THEM!!! No matter what, No matter how unlikable they are at times, through their many mood swings and all LOVE THEM UNCONDITIONALLY because LOVE CONQUERS ALL THINGS!!! In this mean and cruel world where the enemy seeks to devour and destroy they NEED to know their Mama loves them and is praying for them!! There’s no love on earth like a Mama’s!💗

I am so very proud of this a graduate of mine and I look forward to watching God’s plans unfold for him!! 💙🎓
