There are 2 ways to contribute items to the sale: donation or consignment. DONATIONS

If you choose to CONSIGN, we would love to work with you to make this as easy as possible.

• All consignors get 50% of the sale price, and you determine that price.

• All consigned items must be labeled with the following information: your code (your initials and house number, for example, mine is “SMB78”), a brief description with size (i.e. “red t-shirt, 2T”), and the price. If you would like your item to be half price during the final 2 hours of the sale, use a red pen or marker and make a red dot on the tag. If you do not put a red mark on the tag, your stated price will be the price we will use the entire sale.

• Regarding pricing, keep in mind that most people shop consignment sales looking for good bargains. Some popular brands (Keen, North Face, etc.) may sell for half of new prices, but often the best pricing is 1/3 to ¼ what you can buy it for new, if it is in really good condition.

• You can pin a label to the item, or use blank sticker labels and write the info on it. If using sticker labels, the larger the better! The address labels used in printers are the best.

• Toys or anything with small parts should be packaged together with a Ziploc or something similar.

• Shoes should have a label on each shoe.

• We have much more table space than hanging space, so we usually only hang coats, dresses, nicer items that may require ironing, costumes, and clothing in larger sizes (above 7-8). Most items will be sorted according to gender and size and folded neatly on tables. You should not bring your items on hangers, but rather fold them neatly in a box. If you would like to donate some hangers, they are always appreciated! If you allow us to borrow them for the event, please label with your name and be responsible to retrieve them after the sale.

• If you bring your items in a plastic tote or container that you want back, please label the box and lid with your name and consignor code and take them home after the event.

• If you have already tagged your items, you may leave them at the school office with Susanne. Make sure you put your name and phone number on the box or bag, and please indicate if you do or do not intend to donate your leftover items. The last day to bring tagged, consignment items is by 3pm on April 1st.

• You MUST come by during the cleanup of the sale (from 2:30-3:00pm) to collect your remaining items or THEY WILL BE DONATED. We do not have space to store your items. If you cannot make it to get these items on the afternoon of the sale, please designate someone you know, to collect them for you.

• Cash will be distributed when you come to gather your items after the sale on April 2. Again, if you can’t make it on that day, you may pick up your cash at the school office later the next week.
