04/20/2026
Today we celebrate 4/20—not just the plant, but the journey.
Cannabis is the epitome of one step forward, two steps back. From the beginning of time until around 1900 the cannabis plant was widely used as medicine. Through decades of misinformation, unjust incarcerations, and voices being silenced, people still stood firm. Independent research pushed forward, the Farm Bill opened doors, and science finally began catching up to what so many already knew.
Today, we recognize the patients who suffered, the advocates who fought, and the communities that never gave up. This progress didn’t happen overnight—and it didn’t happen without sacrifice.
Today is about appreciation, awareness, and respect for how far we’ve come.
And we pray we keep moving forward… not backwards.
