In 2024, I stepped away from working for myself for the first time and it took the entire year of using Instagram less to start untangling the toxic relationship I had with it as a business owner, artist, and maker.

For so long, my livelihood depended on stories and content, and it drained the joy out of creating. I’m looking forward to finding even more relief in 2025 *and* rediscovering the fun Instagram once held for me- for us all.

Sending solidarity to all my fellow creatives who didn’t sign up for this and continue to post and showcase their art. I feel indebted to you all. Happy New Year from my family to yours 🖤🖤🖤

I am not immune to really careless blunders sometimes and the fix to this one infused a unique essence into the banner that would have been absent had the mistake not occurred.
