So Many of you wonderful peeps, know, I have been working on something other than Sewing for a few years now, and I promised to tell you about this particular update.

I have been building Tibbleburrow Shire Retreat for a Sweet and Awesome vacation spot here in SE Wisconsin. on FB at Tibbleburrow

Well, to see how we would fare against the country's big hitters, I participated in a Reality TV Competition called the Blox. I was on Season 20 and that just dropped today. You can see it here!

Now that we have more limited supplies, we need to make alterations to our stash to make it work. For this button, which comes in shiny silver, it will be too noticeable for my tastes, so we use the tweezers and run the torch over it for a second or so, then matteify the silver. Then it blends into most gowns with metallic threads.

Wedding season - quarter one - DONE!! Here is a taste of the 87 gowns completed so far! Sometimes it is a nip and tuck, sometimes its creative vision!!!

1st - on the dark blue gown, there were major structural changes, including the collar, and the sleeves, adding crinoline and sculpting it into her shape and then there’s the hand appliqué work of all of the bright lace. She came in with a vision and dam if that wasn’t stunning!!

2nd- a very sweet Golden Bride, who I hope writes her story cause because her true story would knockout a lot of Hallmark movies!!
Simple Alterations to the fit and length for this gown, and custom designing her sleeves but you can’t beat the smile on her face!

Plus a little shout out to Erin who is stepping into the industry.

All client work is off-site as well!.
