We serve a God of second chances and I am certainly a believer of and in second chances. I have always believed that God gave me a second chance. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” I have always known that there was a call on my life, I was just too afraid to answer it! The most interesting thing is, that when I began to answer it that is when I began to witness all things working together for my good.
I could not understand God from the perspectives of the individuals who loved me. And despite the criticism and negative predictions on my life by people who refused to acknowledge my worth, I diligently went after the purpose for which I was created. I was told many times to get my head out of the clouds, how I was going hell, I was told I was a mistake, and I was asked when you are going to graduate from college it is going on 20 years. I suffered from low self-esteem, self-worth issues, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation, dysfunctional behaviors, broken relationships, multiples abortions, and self-abuse. I was lost, and I needed a new perspective of who I was in God.
All that I have encountered, I acquired skills, knowledge, and wisdom; God knew exactly what He was doing. Today it is by his grace and his power that I strive every day to be in his favor over my life. I walk in Faith. When one’s vision is clear, you know what you desire is possible. You cannot go back, because you will become too busy looking at what is ahead. With hard work, commitment, dedication, and disciplined, you can be successful and manifest all desires and expectations.
As a former plus-size model, My dreams became reality in 1999 when I took third place in a nationwide modeling contest. I was offered a five-year $10,000 guaranteed modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models New York. I had been Inspired by many models such as Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, and Queen Latifah, I never gave up on my revelation of modeling. Today, I purpose to redefine fashion and present an accurate representation of a model. My goal is to inspire and motivate women of all ages to apply daily principles to Live Inspirationally Faithfully and Fabulously Everyday! (LIFE) "A True Diva not only looks good but lives well and feels good. She has mastered her talents and gifts and uses them to inspire and motivate others. I am taking this second chance and I am answering the call!
