A wonderful wedding at Charleton Fruit Farm yesterday for Caledonian Cowboy, made so much funnier hearing/watching Mia and Isla’s wasp hunting escapades…
Once were Wasps!
‘Oh, I have killed,
And she’s killed an’ thrilled,
But me, Mia, I’ve killed 38!’
Smashed in the head,
‘til wee wasps are dead,
And left squashed on your side dinner plate,
Now, Isla’s killed nine,
‘fore saying a prayer, quite divine,
And someone else they hit two - mebbe three,
Cos they don’t like wasps,
Whatever the cost,
Just as long as they’re not fat bumbly bees,
Beware! If you’re striped black an’ yellow,
Then your life is in peril,
For the swatters come swinging down fast,
If your wings ain’t quickly in flight,
You’ll soon be knocked outta life,
As this moment’s now marked as your last,
On this braw summer’s day,
Drink tea, watch and pray,
As wasps are getting blootered wi’ blows,
On the East where I am,
Where living is easy and calm,
Adios wasps - now as extinct as dodos!
