After repeatedly incorporating jewelry into my sweaters, I decided to reverse my approach. That's when I came up with the idea of creating this Crochet Beaded Rose Necklace Wrap. My design process for every piece involves fully fashioning each sweater, ensuring that there is no extra yarn waste. Any scrap yarn that is left over after weaving in the ends and tying off is saved and stored in old glass jars. Knitting and producing everything in my Brooklyn Studio reduces the environmental impact of excessive transportation.

While I'm working on my projects, I keep my scraps in an old candle jar that has a lovely cork lid. This way, I have easy access to them in case I need to use a scrap yarn for any unforeseen issues. Once the garments are finished, I pack them into glass jars, creating a ring of different sweaters that I have worked on over the months and years.

My approach to fashion not only benefits the environment but also produces unique, high-quality garments that are carefully crafted with attention to detail. Investing in pieces that are made to last is not only cost-effective but also reduces the overall environmental impact of the fashion industry.

As a small, independent designer who prioritizes sustainable and zero waste practices, I believe that supporting designers like me is a great way to contribute to this movement and create a positive impact on the fashion industry.

Turning the Bastian KNTWR square set in sleeve I have loved using for some winter sweaters into a cropped boxy summer piece. This summer top was made with love, lots of test swatches, and and a lot of yarn! ☀️🧶 Sharing the process of creating my latest knit creation and can't wait to rock it all season long! 🌺 Also mixing some crochet in with jewelry...
