When the ingredients in your cream decrease the amount of water lost from the skin…

This is called transepidermal water loss and it’s a high number in those with defective skin barriers. Using high quality cream protects the barrier and decreases the water lost from the skin. This means more hydrated skin!!

Does your moisturizer company post scientific articles on their social media page ? Bebaby does. Because when we know that moisturizing with quality ingredients May DECREASE the risk of developing food allergies and eczema and asthma and allergic rhinitis… you have to share the information. Because we are so passionate about it.

It’s world asthma day (might be a day off due to traveling) and it’s not a day you want to remember because asthma is a chronic disease and requires medication.

So let’s take care of our bodies, fight for our rights, and moisturize.

Check out these 6 tips to prevent eczema.

A few notes: knowing your triggers can mean a few things. Is there a particular season that’s worse? Is itch a physical way you manifest stress or anxiety? Keep a journal. You are your own best advocate!

The sun is always out- protect yourself. Use sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium oxide to limit the chance of allergic reactions.

Sweating makes most people itchy, so it’s usually a trigger for those with eczema. Try to pay dry the sweat away or take a quick shower to avoid the sweat sitting on your body for too long.

And, lastly moisturize. Give your skin the ingredients it needs to stay strong and prevent flares.
