ARTIST SPOTLIGHT • PRINT SALE: story behind the photograph: Light Path #3 - Leading up to the 2019 , I was thinking of a way to shoot the 1 Pro flat track race differently. I took a page from my skate photography past and dragged that shutter with some strobe.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT • PRINT SALE: story behind the photograph ’s “Arches”.

It was summer 2004 and I was on an cross country road trip which we covered nearly 35 states and 11000 miles.
I saw this family of 4 stop here for a photo and thought how fortuitous it was and how similar they were to the photo on the RV.
I ended up following that family for a bit and photographing them on the hike as well, but when i got the 120 film back from the lab at the end of the trip, it was this first shot that was the “one”. ———————————————

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT • PRINT SALE: we’re going more in depth on the artists’ photographed, taking a focus on each image. Today is ’s Big Sur:
This is an image of the iconic Bixby Creek Bridge in Big Sur, California. I don’t consider myself a traditional landscape photographer, yet sometimes a view is too good to pass up. I'm reminded of this quote from Alec Soth: “Cliches are cliches because they speak to something essential.” My favorite aspect of this image is how—to my eyes, at least—the composition of sea and hills makes the horizon line seem to dip slightly, meeting land just at the point where the road curves around the point.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT • PRINT SALE: we’re going more in depth on the artists’ photographed, taking a focus on each image. We’ll be starting with , ‘John’. In Stephen’s own words: “This is was shot on Kodak Porta 400 with a Leica Minilux. I was in Nova Scotia on skateboarding, surfing and motorcycle adventure. This was John coming in from a session right as the light was amazing so I ran down the rocking coastline to get to the bottom. I remembering shooting this image hoping and wishing one frame I shot would come out like this. This honestly is one of my favorite images I have ever shot.”
