Hello! Haven’t posted in a minute but I’m still here! A friend’s post on Facebook inspired me to post this picture. The red shorts are a 3X and the green shorts are an XS. If you zoom on the tags you will see they are the same price. Why? Because that is how it should be. It never even occurred to me to charge more based on size. The idea of that is ridiculous and, IMO, bad business. You can cost your garments based on an average. My size range is XS thru 3X. That’s 7 sizes. If I figure out how much fabric it takes to cut 1 of each size, and divide that by 7, there is my fabric cost. It’s that simple. Charging higher for larger sizes, or picking an arbitrary size where prices increase, is WRONG. I’m not posting this for a pat on the back, like I said it never occurred to me to do this any other way. I just want people to be educated and I want consumers to be empowered to stand up for themselves and not be treated as less than or deserving to be charged more based on their size. I’m not the most eloquent person, so I hope my message makes sense!
