Not every breastfeeding question has a simple yes or no answer, and pacifiers are one of the biggest examples.
The good news? A pacifier doesn’t have to get in the way of your breastfeeding journey. For many babies, it’s all about timing. Once breastfeeding is well established and your baby is feeding effectively, introducing a pacifier can be a helpful tool, not a setback.
Whether you’re a new mom, exclusively breastfeeding, pumping, or doing a combination of both, every feeding journey looks a little different. Trust your instincts, watch your baby’s cues, and remember that support matters just as much as the “right” answer.

How much milk should you actually be pumping? 🤍
It’s easy to compare your output to someone else’s, especially on social media. But does the number of ounces you pump really tell the whole story?
Before you stress over what’s in your bottle, watch the full video. The answer might surprise you, and give you a lot more peace of mind💛

One of the most common questions from every new mom is surprisingly simple: Does my baby need water? 💧

The answer depends on your baby’s age, and getting it right can help protect the nutrition they need most. Before 6 months, breast milk or formula provides all the hydration your baby needs. Once solids are introduced, small sips of water can become part of the routine, but breastfeeding or formula should still do the heavy lifting.
Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or just trying to make sense of all the advice out there, remember this: you don’t have to know everything overnight. Every question you ask is part of learning to care for your baby with confidence.

The warm coffee. The quiet.
The deep breath before your little one is back in your arms.

f you’re suddenly pumping less milk than you used to, don’t panic. A drop in pumping output doesn’t always mean your milk supply has dropped. Before you assume the worst, check these common reasons:
🍼Your pump parts may need replacing. Worn valves, membranes, or flanges can make a big difference in milk output.
🍼Stress and lack of sleep matter. Your body responds to both, and that can temporarily affect your pumping sessions.
🍼Hydration and nutrition count. Breastfeeding moms need enough fluids and calories to support milk production.
• Your hormones may be changing. Your menstrual cycle, ovulation, pregnancy, or certain medications can all impact pumping output.
🍼Your baby may simply be nursing more efficiently. Pump output isn’t always an accurate reflection of your milk supply.
The most important thing to remember: a pump measures what it removes, not necessarily how much milk your body is making. If you’re a new mom and you’re worried about your breastfeeding or pumping journey, don’t jump to conclusions after one low-output session. Look at the bigger picture, and if you’re concerned, reach out to a lactation consultant for personalized guidance.

You’re doing better than you think💛
