HTA “Sage” Cape . A Green Neighborhood

I knew I needed an all-green cape. Once I found this green leather, I knew I wanted to pair it with another shade of green and keep the inside cream.

I’ve envisioned something like this for a long time, especially thinking about the bags my mom used to wear and still wears. It gave the cape that sense of luxury I was looking for.

HTA “Camo” Cape. A Green Neighborhood

I’ve been thinking about camo for a minute. I have these camo pants I wear all the time, so in the back of my mind I already knew I was going to make a camo cape eventually.

It felt right for one of the first releases of version two. I’m glad with how it came out, especially with the black lining and olive green on the inside.

HTA “Classic” Cape. A Green Neighborhood

This time around, I wanted to really improve the cape in every way I could.

It’s made from heavy-duty canvas with vegan leather lining around the opening, base and flap. I added two magnetic buttons, a laptop sleeve and iPad sleeve on the inside, plus a zipper pocket built into the flap and framed with leather.

The straps are completely different too. They’re actual padded book bag straps now, made from canvas with leather lining for more comfort.

A lot of patience went into getting these right, especially figuring out what needed to change from the last version. I wanted every cape to feel like I took what I learned before and made it better.
