Craft friends,

Are you a handmade artist that is having a hard time selling online?

Maybe you're trying to build an email list and break free from Etsy (and competing with all those other artists)?

It's not easy to do on your own, let me tell you.

But, good news!

Once you have the right systems in place in your craft business, it's way easier to consistently grow your online audience, and get your products in front of people who can't wait to see what you make next.

Think about how much easier selling your crafts would be if you already had an online following of subscribers who know, like, and trust you.

Like I said, it's not easy to do on your own, but I can help.

I've done it myself, and let me tell you that not only has building an engaged list of email subscribers been profitable, but it has also given me complete clarity in my business for the first time in many years of "just winging it".

If you're curious about this world and how you can get started (or improve what you're doing now), come join me in my brand new Facebook group, where I'll be sharing my experience with building my online audience.

In this group, you'll learn:

- ways to start building your list that are actually really fun!

- how to create creative content that people look forward to

- how to sell your crafts via email in a non-pushy, gross way

I hope you'll join! You can find me here -

I wrote up a new post featuring a handmade business that has mastered the art of the "custom request". I interviewed the owner of Le Papier Studio and we talked product, running a small business, and connecting with your customers.

As a creative business owner, I often stress the importance of surrounding yourself with other types of artists and handmade entrepreneurs. It’s good to create an inspiring community around you with others that are also selling handmade art that will keep you moving when you start to doubt yoursel...

What a month April was.

Maybe some people are taking this time to relax and decompress, but I’ve been riding an insane wave of creativity for about 3 weeks now. (It’s exhausting!)

Some of it has taken the form of new art, but most of it has been centered around a big project I’ve been wanting to do for years.

You’ll be hearing more soon, but in the meantime, here’s a silly print I made this week 😊

Also...today is my 1 year mark of living in NY!

I’m happy to report (even despite the circumstances): zero regrets 😍🏙❤️

Finding a little extra time lately to make some new prints for fun like the good old days.

Sometimes it feels good not to plan too much and just make stuff.

Hope you’re keeping busy 🐝

My Story

The Recoverie is the creative love child of Danielle Broder. I design and print handmade block printed fabrics for interior design (upholstery, drapes, pillows, etc). I make everything from start to finish, pencil sketch to finished fabric.

All designs are original illustrations, hand carved and printed in my San Francisco art studio.

If you’re looking for a custom design or fabric, feel free to reach out and tell me about your project.
