Hi! Please sign this letter to our illustrious mayor. NYC’s public schools are an unequivocal mess, and he wants to cut funding to them - What an unthinkably bad idea! Class sizes are out of control and teachers desperately overworked. After Covid kids are anxiety ridden and out of touch. The schools are, like so much of the country, filled with people who don’t see why they should care. They’re having a hard time getting back to work and they’re dangerously touchy due to the anxiety rippling through their ranks.

FYI, Flying Squirrel may not be flying at the moment, but we do have a new mascot. His name is Harvey (after the giant rabbit companion of Jimmy Stewart). It turns out he’s a dog who needs to be groomed (🙄), and he HATED being groomed so desperately that I was forced to do it myself. You may have seen me and my bizarre looking dog roaming the streets. I did get him professionally groomed once, and he wouldn’t walk over the Pulaski Bridge for months because he was afraid we were going back. Today I took him to and they made him into the most beautiful hound! I took him for a walk afterwards and accidentally walked right by Jojo and he begged to be let back in! He loves those people. He is 100% gorgeous and 100% not at all traumatized by the grooming
