Happy Wednesday!

I had the wonderful experience this week working with a new customer who wanted to buy a purple stone bracelet for an upcoming birthday gift! She was referred to me by a dear friend!

I went through my purple bead stock & got to work making bracelets of different shades of purple with bead sizes and textures - mostly of amethyst, lavender jade and purple quartz. Lots of purple vibes!

I love to give a customer choices! I took lots of pictures. We talked on the phone and used Messages to “share” pics of all the bracelets! I added hematite bracelets to some of the pictures to show how the bracelet would look stacked. She chose a lovely 8mm faceted darkish amethyst bracelet and both hematites.

Bracelets were shipped yesterday! I hope she loves them as much as I loved making them!

Amethyst and hematite are a great energy combination. Lots of grounding, protection and tranquility!

Amethysts come in many shades of purple - from purple to a light pink lavender. It is one of the most common crystals on earth. They can be found in Arizona, Texas, Penslyvania, N. Carolina, Maine & Colorado as well as outside of the US.

Amethysts are very beneficial to the mind, they can calm or stimulate depending what is needed. They are great to meditate with and help focus.

When I am feeling overwhelmed I hold an amethyst palm stone and take deep breaths.

Last weekend I prepped for a pop up happening next weekend at the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange. I made tags for gemstone bracelets while sitting at my mom’s dining room table.

I dont know about you but I spent many an hour studying on my family’s dining room tabIe back in high school & college. I was more productive this time around. 🤣

It’s been a gray week - lots of clouds, rain & not a lot of sun.

I think the word “gray” can be so misunderstood. Think about it - what do you think of when you hear the word gray? It’s probably not “middle”. But that is kind of what it is- it’s the middle color between black and white. It a a middle. Don’t we sometimes wish some people had a more gray mentality instead of the all or nothing thinking? Gray is a little more open to possibility.

This long silver gray pearl and mystic black spinel necklace has lots of luster and sparkle. At 36 inches, it’s a great wardrobe staple - worn long or doubled for different looks. The necklace can be purchased at the Brooklyn Women’s Exchange.

Happy 2023! It’s been a while since I posted jewelry. I’ve been thinking about what crystals, gems & minerals would be good to wear and work with for the new year.

I am going to start with pearls. Pearls represent wisdom gained by life experience. We want to bring forward the lessons we learned in 2022. Where did you grow? What did you learn about yourself? What did you learn to let go of?

As I think about this now - I worked a lot with pearls for the holiday season- more than usual. Hmm. Maybe getting myself ready for 2023!
