Hey Tribe! I wanted to share a little history of who I am and why Gone Tribal is a part of my life. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, mom, wife and friend.
I grew up on a ranch in South Dakota. From a family of 5 I am the youngest of 3 girls. Growing up I was active on the ranch and in almost every sport offered in the area. (I now question, how my parents ran 3 kids and tended to the ranch!) I participated in ballet to ice hockey, rodeo and 4-H and everything in between!
Fast forwarded to life today, I am married with 3 beautiful girls of my own. All with their own spitfire personalities! I have been lucky to be able to stay home with each of my girls. Of course, life demands changes throughout this journey of life we all live. And that is how my tribe has landed in Colorado. In a town where we knew no one! Talk about a change! We have met some wonderful people on this adventure but, for me something was still missing.
I love my family with everything I have but, I needed more than baby feedings, diaper changes, house chores, chauffeuring kids, and planning the next snack time. I needed some me time with gratification. That’s when my hubby suggested I stop talking (only for the past 4+ years) about starting this business and go for it! Don’t tell him but, boy was he right! I love having a blank slate and designing an item just the way my customers want. I love learning this industry. I also, enjoy the challenges (sometimes....let’s be honest) that come with this business. I mean, of course there are challenges... it’s part of life.
