Found this armoire at an estate sale after the ninety-year-old owner passed away. Her daughter warned me it had 'issues': one door wouldn't close properly, the mirror was cloudy, and there was water damage on the base. 'Mom refused to get rid of it,' she said, shaking her head, 'claimed Grandpa proposed in front of it or some nonsense.' It took me six months of weekend work to restore it. I had to rebalance the doors, resurface the mirror, and rebuild part of the base. I posted progress photos in woodworking forums on the Tedooo app, where I sell restored furniture, and people kept saying I was wasting time on 'outdated junk.' But when I finally got that door to close smoothly and the mirror to reflect clearly again, I understood why she'd kept it all those years. Now it lives in my bedroom, and every morning when I open those doors, I think about all the mornings she must have done the same thing. Sometimes the best antiques are the ones that fought hard to stick around; they've earned their place in someone else's story.

I wanted to share the prayers from the prayer door that was in my booth from the Lilly Pad. I will retire them appropriately and if you are inclined, perhaps join in prayer for all the requests:
-Praying for a pastor to accept a call to our church
-Prayers for World Peace! More ease and grace through challenges and more joy, bliss and abundance for all
-Prayers for unsaved family & friends to come into a relationship with Christ. Thank You! James 5:16 Prayers of a rightous man availeth much . May God bless you.
-Praying for peace on Earth and that begins with us
-Praying for less conflict with a parent dealing with a custody issue. Please keep M safe and protected.
-Prays for my wife. Lost her daughter 3/11/23. 35 and 6 months pregnant.
-Prayers for a dear friend that has pancreatic cancer
-Pray for S - Mother, wife, nurse, daughter, struggles with depression and anxiety, Lord, bless her.
-Please pray for a friend suffering from depression.
-Please pray to feed Flagler County Grace Community Pantry

I wanted to let everyone know that Friday will be my last day at Lilly Pad 😌. I have said i am retiring before and never seem to fully mean it so i won’t say it again 🤣. I set up this space because our family combined several houses into one and I was simply overwhelmed with all the stuff. What I have left is what I love… the authentic goodies that have stories behind them. The problem is I love searching for treasures so at some point I will probably have more stuff than space again 🤦‍♀️. I have made many friends here who are absolute blessings in my life… for that i am grateful. 🥰
