It took just shy of two years, but the Rollyhog studio has finally risen from the literal ashes and is back up and fully running. It’s been a long 23 months working out of my living room while post-fire reconstruction happened, but it’s finally done. Now that the move is (almost) complete, I promise this means I’ll be more responsive to emails 🪡

Today is a big day. 456 days after a lithium battery burst and took out half of our house, all of my embroidery machines and supplies, and most of our sanity, reconstruction on the fire side of the house has FINALLY STARTED. It’s estimated that it will take another 5 months, and then we will be able to finally close this long, frustrating, and expensive chapter of our lives.

I’ll still be embroidering from the living room, now while hearing the sweet sounds of construction on the other side of the wall. All of the Rollyhog stock has moved from the gutted garage into a storage pod. I’ll do my best to continue to turn orders around quickly and swiftly while navigating a new crew in the house.

As always, every purchase from Rollyhog goes toward drywall, screws, and toilet paper ✨

We're all ready for the moment we can spring into action to make sure everything is just right before the cameras roll. Big shoutout to the ADs who make sure to give these departments the opportunity for final checks.

This hat is perfect for any film industry professional, and available in assorted colors to match whatever your on set look for the day is. The embroidery is a faux chainstitch style on a cotton baseball hat with adjustable metal slider in back.

Next Saturday August 12 from 2-9 pm, come see me at the charity fundraiser at the Local 80 building in Burbank 🎞️🎥🎟️

This is a ticketed event with ticket and raffle sales going into a relief fund for film workers who have been out of work and struggling while the AMPTP continues to refuse to give our kin in WGA & SAG a fair deal. There are tons of activities (I mean look at that poster, it’s stacked!), and some of our fellow IATSE member-run small businesses will be vending there.

I’m a 705 costumer and hope to see lots of friendly faces in the crowd! Stop by the Rollyhog booth (booth #16 ) and say hi!

Detail shots of this massive embroidered skelly boy, and a glimpse of the original artwork. The shading on this that we were able to pull off was 🤌🤌🤌. It’s like painting with thread as brushstrokes…. And at 97,000 stitches there was a lot of brush strokes 🩻

For this custom embroidered jacket, the customer sent a black and white illustration of poppies to me and I got to stretch my creative muscles colorizing it while programming it for embroidery! The flowers turned out so beautifully and we also embroidered some special names on the sleeve cuffs.

I love doing custom embroidery so much— it’s so fun to see what designs people have in mind and bring them to life with thread! 🎨🪡
