Beautiful piece added to the shop today. This bowl was carved from a single piece of Butternut and signed by Dirk Rosse. His pieces are museum quality. Known for his hand built furniture, bread boards, trays and bowls.

Just added a nice old Underwood & Underwood Stereoscope Viewer with 16 cards. I have so many of these in my personal collection it’s time to let some of them go. I will have a few more listed later this month.

Very excited to Added these to the shop. I found a photo album containing several shots of the famed ship “Mariette” designed by Nathanael Green Herreshoff. Built by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and completed in 1916.
The two masted Gaff Schooner was among the largest and most expensive private yachts built by HMCo. The ships design is based on a ship also designed by Herreshoff for Railroad Tycoon Harold S Vanderbilt.
Jacob an avid yachtsmen paid $75,000.00 to have the ship commissioned. Jacob, A Boston based business man. President of the Wuskanut Mills. Member of Eastern & Boston Yacht Club. He named the ship after his wife and skippered the vessel till 1927. The new owners renamed the ship.

In 1995, Thomas J. Perkins, from San Francisco, purchased her and restored her original rigging.
She now sails out of Antibes, France, under the French flag.

Just added to the Shop. c1900 Mourning Pin with a Tintype Photo. This one is hand tinted, highlighting his cheeks. The Pin base is made by the Chicago Ferrotype Company.
