Hi everyone in our wonderful Firefly world. If you are seeing this, you still have some connection to us, the shop.

Today, I was co-facilitating a writing workshop on the Wonders of Friendship. It was a good two hour session. What it brought to mind are so many friends I met through the shop. You probably.

I am sitting here tonight in our Green Valley, Arizona home wearing wonderful wider leg Habitat pants and a Margaret Winters cobalt blue cotton knit turtleneck. All Firefly things. So soft and comfortable. I think so many things I have from the shop will last me ....like forever. Well, forever, in terms of my life!

I am surrounded by friends' art on our walls and a few cool things from the store mixed with some good SW Arizona art. Mixing it all together makes me happy.

Dick and I are planning to be back in the Hayward area this coming summer, June - August.

Gee, I hope I get to see you. I wonder how to make that happen. Hmmm.

Sold! We are living in the Minneapolis area and will be back to visit. So thankful for the help we had selling our building. Bittersweet for sure.

Hi everybody in my lovely Firefly past! I think I posted a note here a year ago about now.

We are in Minneapolis now unpacking boxes. We have been up to Cable a couple of times already and will be back a couple more this summer. It is like a warm hug to run into so many Firefly friends. We miss each other's faces and visits and stories and obviously there are all the goodies we miss too! Sigh.

I wanted to share this post about our friend Kathi Pearson Dunn's solo exhibit coming up in July at Art Beat. I plan to be at the opening on July 2. It Will be great to see many friends who appreciate her wonderful pastel landscaoes. They are just stunning. You want to walk by that marsh, smell the peonies, meander the pathway, put your toes in the water...
Really.

Hi Everybody! Just checking in with you. We are in our house in Arizona like you are in your home. (This photo is from February). We are fortunate to be in a warm place with a big yard. I so appreciate that I can poke around in our back yard, water pots, listen to the birds and feel the breeze.
My parents live next door. So we can talk over the wall/fence. They are doing really well by the way. Yay!
We are all trying to figure out how to be our best selves in this very trying time. We are limiting our trips significantly. We check with others about what we can get for them at the pharmacy or grocery store. And the hand washing, lysoling is going fine. We are vigilant. I think I have reduced my face touching significantly. That is the hardest.
I am listening to Calm radio and Headspace. They help when my mind gets too worried. I am reading Louise Penny. But I have read lots of books since retiring. I am trying to make my pastels touch my canson paper. Every text and email, shared funny story on Facebook, phone call, smile in the grocery store just really matters. I am trying to listen to my own heart and to all the good and inspiring messages too.

I have a little art piece back in Cable that says "Be the light". That reminds me of who I am. That calls me.

Today I ordered some books from Redbery Books in Cable. Maureen is getting what I need and shipping it all out for me. It is a special thing to have an independent bookstore in a small town. Very special. So I hope you take advantage of the opportunity to think of the books you want for yourself and others and order them! When this is over we will want this small business, among all the others in Cable to be there. And isn't it fun to call and talk to Maureen! It is.

We are ordering a take out dinner tonight for the first time since we have committed to being at home... from a restaurant in Sahuarita that makes fabulous taco salads - unlike any we have had ever. And we are taco salad people. It will be nice not to cook... a tiny break.

My brain has been flooded with good memories of you and the shop. We were so well supported. Thank you again. We will head back north when it seems like the right time.
I have written a few sentences about the shop. I am a slow starter I guess.

I know you want to know what you did for the Food Shelf. It was a terrific and fun effort by so many great women.
LJ's Closet Sale raised $921.00 for the Cable Area Food Shelf! And you brought in over 100 pounds of food.
Dick and I could not be any happier. I am so thrilled! And Teri is too.

Dick and I and Melissa walked out together and took down the "open" flag! Melissa was part of our day and we are so happy she could be here. It is not an overstatement to say that I needed her. You could easily guess why. My heart was a bit leaky. Good day.
