Representation matters 🥰

This I’m celebrating black girls. Let’s give a round of applause to the young black girls that inspire me daily to do the work I do and give me hope for the future. Every single one of them.

I’ve gotten so much help along the way from friends, family, mentors and fellow founders, but when I’m at my lowest, I know that I can always find joy in the children I created Healthy Roots Dolls for saying “she looks just like me”.

has helped me share stories from our curlfriends and children who show us that representation matters.

Partnering with LinkedIn to amplify to black voices and change the narrative for those children is worth celebrating to me. Who are you celebrating?
