Dog Sacrifices Its Life to Save 30 Children

A dog named Kali has become the center of attention after saving the lives of children. The incident took place in Dhirakula village of Udala block in Mayurbhanj, Odisha, India.

The dog saved the lives of more than 30 children in the village. A venomous snake approached a group of children to attack them. To protect the children, the dog stood like a shield in front of them.

According to sources, around 8:30 AM last Monday, more than 30 kindergarten students of Sri Jagannath Shishu Vidya Mandir were sitting outside their school when a poisonous snake moved toward them.

Sensing the danger, the dog immediately jumped in. Before the snake could reach the children, it confronted the snake. A fierce fight began.

The snake kept biting the dog repeatedly. Despite this, the dog fought bravely and eventually managed to kill the snake. However, due to multiple venomous bites, the dog was severely poisoned and died after defeating its enemy.

The death of Kali has cast a shadow of grief over the village. The villagers performed Kali’s last rites with full respect, just like a human funeral. Covered in flowers and a white cloth, Kali’s body was carried around the village on a trolley before being laid to rest.

Villagers said Kali was dearly loved by everyone. They will remember this sacrifice forever.

They also said, “Kali saved our children’s lives. She will live in our hearts forever.
