🌿 Big news for Napa County’s wildlife and waterways! 💧

We’re excited to share that 145 acres of riparian habitat and oak woodlands are now protected forever, thanks to two agreements with generous landowners.

These three parcels help connect thousands of acres of already protected lands, including state and federal preserves, strengthening one of Napa County’s most important wildlife corridors. 🦌🐟

What makes this land so special?
💧 It safeguards streams, including Putah Creek, the largest water source for Lake Berryessa

🌳 Expansive oak woodlands provide shelter and food for countless native species

🐻 It connects habitats to ensure mountain lions, bobcats, bears, and more can travel freely across their backyard

As CEO Doug Parker shared: “This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to safeguarding Napa County’s natural heritage and biodiversity.”

We’re grateful to the landowners who chose protection over development. Thanks to their generosity, this special place will remain wild forever. 💚

What a fool believes.

Brion was a petroleum company founder and longtime executive before getting into the wine business in 2002 with B. Wise Vineyards in Sonoma Valley’s Moon Mountain District. In the past several years, he has been assembling a portfolio of wineries, vineyards and a distillery in Napa and Sonoma counties. In 2019, B. Wise acquired Richard Arrowood’s Amapola Creek Vineyards and Winery, also on Moon Mountain.

Updates on Supporting Amber Manfree's Campaign

Napa Vision 2050 has proudly endorsed Amber Manfree and we are inviting you to join in supporting her in this important campaign for Supervisor in District 4.

Join Amber Manfree’s team on Saturday mornings at 9 am to walk precincts and get the word out.

For the next two Saturdays, November 11 and 18, 9 am, please gather at 1014 Alabama Street in Napa.

There will be no walking on Thanksgiving weekend. Starting December 2, walkers will again gather at 1742 Sequoia, Napa.

Soda Canyon resident Amber Manfree ran against Pedroza for supervisor in 2020, losing 55% to 45%. She plans to run in 2024.

“I’ve been organizing for about the past month,” Manfree said. “I was going to run anyway, regardless of what was happening with (Pedroza’s) campaign. I’m feeling really positive about it. I’m meeting with my team.”

Manfree is a fifth-generation Napa County resident. She has a doctorate in geography from UC Davis and wrote her dissertation on 200 years of landscape change in Suisun Marsh in neighboring Solano County.

Perhaps more than any other expression of our changing climate, Californians are acquainted with wildfire.
