Teacher Appreciation Week is one that’s especially close to my heart 💛

Before taking over the store, I spent 10 years working in education, primarily in intensive special needs, with a background in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer, teach, and live at an orphanage in Ghana, an experience that was incredibly eye-opening and deepened my appreciation for the impact teachers have across all communities.

While I’m no longer in the classroom, I still get to support little ones and their growth in a different way.

Teaching isn’t just a job, it’s a calling. It takes patience, heart, creativity, and an incredible amount of energy to show up for our kids every single day.

I’ve seen firsthand the love and dedication teachers pour into helping children grow, learn, and thrive, and it’s something that deserves to be celebrated!

Next week is about more than just cleaning out your closet, it’s about making a conscious choice to care for our planet. Every item you pass along, whether its clothing, baby gear, or toys, helps keep usable pieces out of landfills and gives them a second life ♻️

We invite you to join us in making a small but meaningful impact with our Earth Week Closet Clean-Out Challenge!

How It Works ✨
▫️Bring in your consignment drop-offs Monday–Saturday
▫️Each drop-off = 1 entry to win a $25 consignment credit
▫️The more drop offs, the more chances you have to win!

Daily Clean-Out Focus To Help You Get Started 🗓️
▪️Monday: Shoes & Accessories (hats, sunglasses, backpacks, etc.)
▪️Tuesday: Baby Gear (strollers, pack n plays, high chairs, etc)
▪️Wednesday: Tops (shirts, layers, jackets, etc)
▪️Thursday: Bottoms (shorts, skirts, pants, etc.)
▪️Friday: Dresses & Seasonal Items (bathing suits, water tables, pop-up beach tents, etc)
▪️Saturday: Toys & Books

Every piece you choose to rehome instead of discard is a step toward a more sustainable future. Together, we can reduce waste, extend the life of what we own, and support families in our community by keeping quality items accessible 🌱

WOW, what a month it’s been!

Before anything else, THANK YOU. Truly. Whether you helped us move inventory during our Blowout Sale Week and Flash Fill A Bag Sale, sent encouraging messages while we were closed, or simply cheered us on from afar… we felt the love every step of the way 🤍

While our doors were closed for two weeks, we were hard at work! Here’s everything we poured into this refresh:

➡️ Donated thousands of expired items to local charities
➡️ Cleaned EVERY single hanger - no more black residue on your fingers!
➡️ Cleaned & coated all metal rack bars to prevent black residue
➡️ Moved the counter to the other side of the store to allow for better flow
➡️ Fresh paint on the walls and almost every shelf & rack
➡️ Built 3 new clothing racks & cut 24 new metal rods
➡️ Created an official changing room with a door for more privacy!
➡️ Added a designated kids play space so you can shop with ease
➡️ Created new rack signage
➡️ Removed all floating wall shelves with clothes to make the space more handicap accessible
➡️ Brought in a beautiful new display table from the Grasshopper Shop
➡️ Reorganized all boys clothing together and all girls clothing together
➡️ And so much more!

This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without these individuals who we owe a huge thank you to!

💛 Lauren Beveridge - for picking up loads of donations for the Lincolnville Central School Clothing Swap at last minute. You were an absolute lifesaver.
💛 My Mom - for cleaning EVERY single hanger in the store (literally, every single one) and for helping with the boys everyday.
💛 Sam - my incredible handyman husband, for taking a full week off work to make this vision come to life. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. Thank you for always being my biggest supporter!

Well… we officially underestimated how big of a project this refresh would be 😅

What started as a simple paint and reorganize has turned into a true labor of love, and after many very long days (and nights), we’re just not quite ready yet.

We’ll now be reopening on Monday 4/6 ✨

Thank you so much for your patience while we take the extra time to get everything feeling just right!

To celebrate, we’ll be hosting a little open house on Wednesday 4/8 from 3–5 PM! Stop by after school to see the refreshed space, say hi, enjoy some light refreshments, and let the kids break in the new play space 🌸
