In Montana, I saw clients face-to-face, but my new business will mostly be by mail. I do have a very nice shop next to my home on 1 acre in Cane Beds, AZ so I can see clients there for the areas of southern Utah and northern Arizona: Kanab, UT, Fredonia, AZ, Colorado City, AZ, Hildale, UT, Apple Valley, UT, and Hurricane, UT.
Other cities are at least an hour's drive and mostly in Utah. I'm about 2.5 hours from Las Vegas, NV. Let me know if you know of anyone who lives in those areas.

Hi. This is Ellen Wright of SEWright321. Last July 2024, I closed out my alterations business in Kalispell, MT, and also my old website SEWright321.com. After 9 months of recuperating from the devastating effects on my mental and physical health, and after moving to Cane Beds, AZ and living in a very rural area, I found the courage to resurrect my alterations business using the mail order concept.
I will be constructing a new, improved, and simplified website by the same name. In my future posts, I will be filling y'all in on all the details as I go. I welcome any comments, encouragement, wisdom, and virtual hugs. Don't get many real hugs in this isolated community except from my older brother Ray and his wife, my sister-in-law, Karen.

I am an alterationist who has a passion about sewing!
An alterationist is one who does clothing alterations. I made up that word because it fits what I do, pardon the pun. I also do tailoring on suits, coats, and jackets. I have worked out of my 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment here at Gateway Village Apartments in Kalispell, MT for the past 4 years. I have been in this business a total of 6 years in the Flathead Valley and my work is outgrowing my small apartment.
I am looking for a female housemate/apprentice to share a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house that I am searching for. This person would be experienced in sewing, and eager to learn the alterations craft, a dying art/skillset. This field is badly in need of apprentices who are not afraid of hard work and have high standards as well as a committed work ethic.
We would work side by side in building up my business, SEWright321 LLC.
