A little fact about Lacy 🤎

I think there’s a reason I’m so drawn to all the things that remind me of Grandma’s house—even though I never actually got to experience one quite like this.

My grandma passed away at a young age, long before I was ever even thought of. And while I am blessed to still have my sweet Nanny on my mamas side, her home isn’t filled with the quilts, recipe boxes, old cookbooks, oil lamps,  ceramic Christmas trees, and little treasures that I see so many people remember being passed down from their grannies.

So in a way, I think I’ve always craved that.

I hear people say, “My granny had one just like that,” or “That was always sitting in my grandma’s kitchen,” and there’s something about those stories that gets me every single time. I love the idea of a home filled with things that have been loved, used, remembered, and eventually passed down.

Maybe that’s part of why The Country Cupboard means so much to me. 🤎

I’m creating a little piece of the Grandma’s house I never got to have. I collect the quilts. I love the old dishes. I want the recipe boxes, the lamps, the cookbooks, the furniture, and all those little things that might seem ordinary to someone else.

Because to me, they represent something bigger—home, family, memories, and generations.

Maybe I didn’t inherit all of these things from my own grandma, but I get to appreciate the pieces that belonged to someone else’s. And maybe someday, my own children will look around and say,

“Mama had one just like that.” 🥹🤎

And goodness… maybe that’s why I love old things so much.

This one is extra special because Amish Cupboard will be one of The Country Cupboard’s very own signature scents! We wanted something that smelled warm, cozy, clean and old-fashioned—the kind of scent that makes you think of walking into Mamaw’s house when everything has just been cleaned. 🥹🤎

We’ve been working on this one and we seriously cannot wait for y’all to smell it. We hope you love Amish Cupboard just as much as WE do!
