I often wonder why I’m so drawn to certain things… like these German Pull Toys/Rocking Horses from the 1800’s. Maybe it’s because they are just really cool toys that were kept and passed down so many years later. Or maybe it represents a fav time period. I do often wonder what it would have been like to have lived during this time.

Things made during the 1800’s to early 1900’s were made well and well loved, they showed great pride in their creations and I’m sure seeing the pure joy on a child’s face was worth everything it took to make them.

I just know I’m happy when I find a special treasure and can save it and pass it down sooner or later…

Hello Friday 🌻!! I found some great things these past few days that will be available at the upcoming Round Top/Warrenton Antique Show in October. The cabinet (M: 42” wide x 73 1/2” tall x 17” deep) is a great size, has shelves and while it was originally a Pie Safe, the screens were removed and replaced with glass, it still has so many possibilities. I thought it’d make a great cabinet for quilts or really anything you fill it with will look great. I also found the vintage print and sterilizer cabinet along with a few other things.

And just WAIT until you see what I found this morning (maybe ill do a teaser post in stories). Make plans to come see them or DM me if you need more info.

Raise your hand if you’re ready for Fall, cooler weather, pumpkin pie anything ~ OH YES 🙋🏻‍♀️🧡… and if you’re wondering yes that’s a real Pumpkin from last year!! I normally can get them to last 11 months if I keep them inside 🎃. I’m so ready for Fall 🍁.

We’ve had a fun few days of picking!! And as promised I wanted to show you what my fav find has been along with other things we found. Can you guess what it is? Yes it’s the Primitive Horse Pulltoy from the 1800’s. I rarely find this size of Pulltoy but I was excited to find him. I’m not going to lie, he’s going to be a hard one to part with 😍.

I also found these metal cast iron chairs and cast iron legs, along with a few other things. They are so cool on their own but I may try to cut a round board and make them into individual tables or a piece a board attached to them would make a great sofa table. I also thought they’d make great plant stands as well.

The piles are getting bigger as we prepare for the upcoming shows. And I’ll have an announcement coming towards the end of the month. Hope you have a great weekend.

We did a little sailing today but not the kind you’re thinking of 😂 Estate Sale-ing that is!! I know it’s been a while since I went to an Estate Sale but I knew this one was going to be a good one. I found some great ironstone and transferware pieces (sorry the ironstone Compote is a keeper). Most of these will more than likely be packed up for the Round Top/Warrenton show in October. I’ll show you my fav find tomorrow.
