I’ve been missing for a week or so, but it’s because I’ve been in organizing mode! We are finally moved into our new (old) house and my quilt room was the number 1 priority to get moved over.

New to quilting and not sure where to start? Or dabbling in pattern writing? Don’t start from scratch! Use the tools that are already available! Most quilters know that quilting isn’t just putting fabric together - it involves a lot of math. But I stand by this product helping take away some of the headache! Check them out on my website 😊

I don’t consider myself a beginner, but after attempting an intermediate pattern for a quilt swap - I’m not 100% confident being called intermediate. So “beginner-mediate” is where I land! Can anyone relate? 😅

Part 2 of our beginner quilter series! Pinwheel Block/Half Square Triangles - 8 blocks at a time.

The pattern only uses 4 of the blocks, but make sure to save the rest because part 3 will build off of part 2!

Supplies Needed:
2 - 9” squares of fabric, heat erasable pen, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, iron, ironing board and sewing machine.

Trimmed Half Square Triangles Size: 3 3/4”
Finished block size: 7”

I promised a beginner quilters series! We’re starting off strong with a St. Louis 16 Patch.

This block took me roughly 15 minutes start to finish and I’m not a fast or efficient quilter 😜

Finished block size: 16”x16”
Strip size: 4 1/2”x20”

Materials needed: 2 fabrics, ruler, cutting mat, rotary cutter, iron & sewing machine.
